The world’s longest triathlon
Two Moroccan athletes and challengers, Mohamed Nacer Ibn Abdeljalil and Lahna, share their experiences and exploits to give birth to a unique event in Morocco: The Triathlon of the Green March. This event aims to be a sporting achievement but also the celebration of a historical event.
For the 40th anniversary of the Green March, our two sportsmen have wanted to pay tribute to the participants in this epic organizing longest Triathlon World on nearly 3000km, crossing the Kingdom from Tangier to Lagouira. Triathlon It will be a way to show that by perseverance and efort all dreams can come true. The program for this exceptional Triathlon, 12 km swam in Tangiers, 3250 km bike to Dakhla and 460 km through the Moroccan Sahara to Lagouira.
The arrival is scheduled for November 6, 2015 Lagouira. A concert will follow the same evening in Dakhla to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Green March. The objective of both sports is to bring Moroccan time a triathlon around the following core values: sharing, perseverance and determination. This sporting project but also thanks to citizen solidarity actions with local associations, will be carrying the message: “It is in our diversity that we draw our strength! “
