Czech PM Commends HM the King’s Call for Dialogue with Algeria
Czech Prime minister Andrej Babiš commended, on Wednesday in Rabat, HM King Mohammed VI’s call for a dialogue with Algeria, underlining the importance of reinvigorating joint Maghreb action.
During talks with speaker of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, Babiš affirmed the Czech Republic’s support for the UN’s efforts to find a solution to the Sahara issue.
According to a statement by the House of Representatives, the Czech official stressed that his visit to Morocco is meant to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation in particular, noting that his country is working to raise the level of trade relations with the Kingdom, its second largest partner on the African continent.
He also praised Morocco’s development process, highlighting the flagship project recently launched in the country, namely the High Speed Train.
For his part, El Malki welcomed the good long-standing relationship between Morocco and the Czech Republic, emphasizing the convergence of views between the two countries on a wide range of issues.
He also pointed out that the Czech Republic, which has successfully integrated into the European Union, is characterized by a strong and diversified industrial economy, highlighting the ambitious prospects for cooperation between the two countries in several areas.
