HM the King’s Policy in Africa, Cornerstone of ‘New Deal’
Pioneer and rooted in the legitimacy of a common and shared history, the policy implemented by HM King Mohammed VI in Africa could be the cornerstone of the “new deal” to which Europe and Africa aspire, André Azoulay, HM the King’s advisor, said in Sofia at the closing ceremony of the Summer School of the Bulgarian School of Political Science.
Welcoming the forthcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the European Union, which begins on January 1st, 2018, HM the King’s Advisor said that it’s great to see the Bulgarian School of Political Science bring together, each year, Mediterranean elected representatives and decision-makers, who meet in Bulgaria to discuss in particular the evolution and deepening of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, which is still in the making.
Azoulay was received on Monday by the President of the Republic, Mr. Rumen Radev, as well as by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekatherine Zaharieva .
He also met with King Simeon of Bulgaria, a great friend of Morocco, who was Prime Minister between 2001 and 2005, as well as with Vice-President of the Republic, Ilana Iotova, with whom he co-chaired the 2017 graduation ceremony of the Summer University, which this year included among its graduates, 6 Moroccan students as well as representatives of Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan.
Before leaving Sofia, Azoulay was the guest of Bulgarian journalist Boyko Vassilev in the “Panorama” show, the flagship program of Bulgarian television.
