President of Equatorial Guinea: “Morocco’s Return to AU is Guaranteed and has our Total Support”
“The AU committed serious misconduct in accepting Polisario without legal basis”
The President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, received in audience on Thursday Mr. Ghallam Michane, who presented his credentials to him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
At this reception, the President of Equatorial Guinea instructed Mr. Michane to convey to His Majesty the King the full and unconditional support of his country to Morocco concerning the cause of its territorial integrity, welcoming the deep historical relations between two countries.
The President also reiterated his country’s strong support for Morocco’s return to the African Union, stating that this position had become clear for the Commission’s officials and that the Organization Of the African Unity had made a serious error in accepting Polisario’s accession without any legal basis.
He added that his country put the perpetrators of this maneuver before their responsibilities in the face of the evolving situation and demanded that this situation be redressed by the provision of favorable conditions for the return of Morocco to the African Union. Which is now guaranteed, since the States opposed to it are so few.
